My little ones live for hamburgers, so naturally, I had to come up with an easy hamburger recipe that they love. I find it pointless to make a burger that cannot be replicated over and over again with the same result. With this in mind, I started thinking about my best burger moments.
I dug back in time when I ate the most greasy burgers with the most calorie-laden buns and my mouth watered a bit. Very quickly, I was also filled with disgust. See, I have a love-hate relationship with food. My husband will tell you this, I love food! But he would also say that my love for food has its limitations.
About two years ago, I became really sick from eating fatty foods. I could not understand why every meal I ate ended up in the toilet. It just did not make sense. My diet had not changed, but my body was changing. My organs were starting to reject the types of food that I enjoyed so much. I began my detox journey while looking for delicious alternatives. This is how I ended up with this delicious, yet easy hamburger recipe.
These days, I make it not because it is good for my body or waistline. I make it because it is an easy burger recipe and my kids love it. Keep in mind though, this recipe includes some spices that may not be suitable for every taste bud. If you have an aversion to spicy food, then you might want to check out my cheese and bacon burgers.
By the way, this recipe was created based on my love for five guys burgers. I can honestly say that I was a loyal customer for many years until I realized how many dumps I was ingesting. Don’t get me wrong, they have amazing burgers. I just ate too much. Burgers are good, but for some of us, our body just rejects certain foods when prepared the wrong way. What can I say?
